The first iteration of the use of porcelain vessels and jewellery, this body of work came from years of research and two years of experimentation during my Associateship in the Metal Design Studio at the JamFactory Centre for Contemporary Craft.

Having the luxury of a ceramics studio just down the hallway and time to play, gave me the opportunity to learn the technique of plaster mould making and slip casting. I experimented with staining the porcelain slip to achieve a matt charcoal finish which complimented the silver and gold.

The body of work references symbiotic relationships found in nature. Each jewellery piece embodied repetition, also a nod to my many wanderings in nature.
